VISITORS AND GUESTS

PAST RUNS

The major news in the meeting was the December trail run.  Achy Breaky was a fun trail and we even had great weather.  Erik shared the pictures his co-pilot took of the Jeep, Bronco, and scenery.  Two trucks made the trek and a more detailed description is included in the run report.  Fun was the major result and definitely a trail worth visiting again with some stuff for everyone.

FUTURE RUNS

We are questioning if it will be possible to run Yellow-jacket as planned on the 19th of January due to snow, but will be checking.

Also, there is interest in trying to run Cucamonga Big Tree Trail in the month of January.  Likely dates include the weekends of the 12th or the 26th.  More to follow on this.  Erik is willing to lead, but really probably doesn’t know where he is going (nothing new there right Addie?).  Others are welcome to volunteer.

February 9 and 10 is currently planned to be Ocotillo for the weekend.

March 8th is planned to be Wildomar.

April 5 and 6 is planned to be Mojave Road.

Another topic of conversation was the Memorial Day weekend event.  May 24-26, a Big Bear camping trip and trail maintenance day was planned.  The group was wondering if this is a good idea as the area may be more crowded than normal.  In the next few months, we think we should discuss this more.

FUTURE ACTIVITIES

Coming up is a Calico trail clean-up day.  Addie asked if we could try to attend in her place.  It sounds like a great chance to get out on the trails and help to keep the place clean.  The event will happen in February and be sure to list us as your club.

NEW BUSINESS

MISC COMMENTS AND DISCUSSIONS

This month’s meeting had a smaller turnout than normal.  George was able to stop by and share some pictures from the Christmas party with us, but had to return home to try to get the family nursed back to health.  Notably absent was our fearless leader (Warren) and his trusty sidekick (Joe).  Both of them were at Pismo Beach experiencing four wheeling rather than talking about it at a burger shack in the city.
