Warren started with a description of the Miller/Lockwood trip which he also documented well in another post.  Sounded like a good time except for breakfast.  Plus there were a few challenges with that pesky 'yoder again.

Then George talked about his trip to the Shaver Lake area.  Unfortunately George did not have as much fun as he had hoped.  It sounded like everyone experienced a little excitement on the trip, ranging from getting to the camp site to George rolling his pretty red Jeep on two occasions.  It sounds like the only thing truly hurt was George's enthusiasm.  The metal can be straightened, we hope, and hopefully George won't give up on us altogether.

The next trip discussed was Erik's version of the Shaver Lake area.  A bit more upbeat than George's, but still not lacking excitement.  The highpoint(?) was Danny Boggner shearing a rear axle about 7 miles from the end of the Dusy and us leaving him to go get parts, returning 2 days later.

September 13 & 14 is Jawbone and Joe will lead.

October 25 is El Mirage and Fearless Folly with Warren showing the way and likely providing land boats for recreation.

November 8 looks like a Calico trip.  Trail to be determined.  Erik offered to be the one out front.

Erik was nominated to investigate the Cal 4 Wheel membership.

The meeting concluded with a full review of George's ride and the conclusion by most that it really doesn't look too bad.
