I arrived at the ranger station at 6:00pm.  The weather is cool and slightly hazy over the beach, but inland is clear and warm.  The ranger reported that although the creek was no problem, towing a trailer through the soft sand was not recommended.  As high tide is at 6:35, I decided to wait until 8:30 to drive on the beach.  I went to the Sunset Bar & Grille for dinner and then returned to the beach.  Within 2 hours of high tide, the creek was about 6 inches of fresh water with a solid bottom.  I proceeded about 2 miles down the beach and found a fairly flat spot above the tide line and the road.  As I was unloading the trailer, 2 guys came walking out of the dunes.  Their friend had gotten his Dodge Ram Charger pickup stuck in a bowl near the fence.  Since I only had the stock 4 cyl. automatic Wrangler, I wasn't about to try to pull them out by myself.  We called Angelo's and they soon showed up with 2 trucks.  While one of the stuck guys, one of the tow truck drivers, and I sat by the fire, they got the truck out.  They then discovered it was out of gas.  They borrowed 5 gallons from me and soon were back on the beach.

Thursday morning, the weather is still cool and slightly hazy at the beach but it's starting to burn off now.  Surprisingly, there are already about 15 camps setup on the beach.  My nearest neighbor is over a 1/4 mile away.  Today's seems like a good day to relax in the hammock.

Friday morning weather's the same.  Another relaxing day.  Gizmo's group are the first to arrive, followed closely by Barbie, Yo-yo and Sue.  As soon as everyone had camp setup, we headed out to the dunes for a run.  Gizmo mostly leads, with Ryan and I on our quads.  We found a couple of good jumps and hills to play on and then headed back to camp.  The wind picked up pretty good, so we decided to go into town for dinner.  After pizza at the Paradise Family Restaurant, the wind died down and we were getting ready to head back to the beach.  Billy, the Bug family and Miller Time were calling on the radio, so we waited for them also.  Just when I got in line at the ranger station, Crashanne called me on the phone, so I went to pick her up too.  We finally all got back to camp and started a fire.  Miller Time's group then went back to his Taj Mahal like house with it's Jacuzzi.

Saturday morning weather's once again the same.  About 9:00 we head out for the dunes without Miller Time who must have overslept in his king size bed.  Barbie and I find a few good jumps to play and the trucks try to climb the hills.  Gizmo's and Shutterbug's kids have fun jumping off a big dune and sliding down to the bottom.  After lunch, Miller Time takes a ride on my quad giving us time to lower his jeep.  As we get ready for a run, the wind picked up, so we just hung out in camp (mostly in the RVs).  Dinner at Old Juan's Cantina is great as usual, and the Fishbowl Margarita's are as popular as usual.  After Dinner, Billy heads home, and the rest of us go back to the beach.  Since the wind has died down, we opt for a campfire and a night run.  Barbie and I both almost crash in the dark, but we have a good time.  After an hour or two, it's back to the campfire.

Sunday, Miller Time is there by 9:00 and the trucks head out to the dunes for some more playtime.  Barbie and I follow shortly after and we meet up with them.  The trucks then return back to camp, and we continue on for a while.  By the time I get back to camp, my trailer is lowered about as much as Miller Time's Jeep was and the message "Revenge is sweet" is written in the sand behind it.  Most of the group is packing up to go home now and I drop Crashanne and Barbie off at their cars.  The Bugs and I are all that's left.  We take a walk in the dunes at the end of the beach and have dinner and a campfire.

Monday morning we pack up and head out.

Thanks to all who came.  I hope you had as good a time as I did.
