Big Bear was good. Our group consisted of myself, girlfriend Casey, my friend Tim and his friend Meg, George, one of his daughters, Kona, Addy and Addy, Warren, Zander (x?) and Warren's father in law Dave. We started the day off with breakfast up in Big Bear, then headed down to the Gold Mountain trailhead. A Land Rover caught up with us and promptly blew a bead in the rock garden. George had the only stuck of the day there taking a fun line. After fixing the Rover's bead, we were on our way. We quickly finished that trail and had a short lunch. Warren left from there and we headed to John Bull. The Rover was catching up to a group of 26 other Rovers who seemed to be having one heck of a time getting up. We decided to ride rather then watch and wait so we headed towards Holcomb Valley trail. Adelaide and her daughter split about halfway there to get home in time for steak dinner. At that point it was myself, George, and Tim. We conquered Holcomb and finished off the day without any troubles. After airing back up we headed down the mountain and had a good dinner at the Italian restraunt. Another fun trail ride with George. Hope to see some of you at my house next Saturday for the Carne meetup. I'll send out another email tomorrow with directions. I'm working on getting a meadow booked in a month or two for a weekend camping trip up in Big Bear. The place is really nice and clean. Hopefully I'll have details soon. Adam Bendig
